Does Your Site Need SEO?

Web Editors - If your site was created by your sister's freind's nephew who learned how to use Frontpage a few months ago, the answer would be "Yes, seriously!". The problem with FrontPage, Dreamweaver and other Web Editors is that unless you are VERY proficient at using them, the code that results is very sloppy and laden with problems. Sloppy coding makes a site slower to load and appear less "professional" (for lack of a better word) to the search engine spiders. Also, proper page structure, with headlines and paragraphs are often not established in the code. You have to understand that a search engine spider does not look at you page with eyes but with a program reading the HTML code. So it doesn't care if it looks cool or not.
Showing in Searches - Are your pages showing in search results? Does your site visitor statistics reflect a measure of traffic from searches? SEO will improve this. I don't propose a magic solution but I do encourage you to make your site the best it can be. The effects are undeniable.
